Begyle Brewing is one of the most dog-friendly breweries in the area. The taproom is on the smaller side but they also have a larger area that’s great for private events, including weddings. Their brewery is known to give amazing tours not only regarding their own beer but the history of Chicago in general. Unfortunately they don’t serve food but they encourage bring-your-own-food and they frequently have food trucks on-site.

Despite the exposed brick, music and rotating art, Dovetail Brewery is extremely unpretentious and inviting. This small German-style brewery typically has 8 delicious seasonal beers on tap, so you can always come back and try something new. They do also offer a tasty and fairly priced snack menu, which is a nice compliment to the food trucks frequently outside.

On Tour Brewing is on the larger side and has everything from a bar area, table seating, couches and lounging area and even a private party room for rent. They have a large and diverse selection of beer and a nice food menu that compliments it well. And everything is fairly priced. Lagunitas Brewing Company is one of the most unique breweries that we’ve seen. People constantly compare the entrance to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory with their vibrant colors and trippy decor. And the tour absolutely matches that style- informative, energetic and exciting. They frequently have live music and have become more and more popular, which adds to the occasional issue of long lines and wait times. All in all, definitely a place you must experience.
