Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom is a smaller brewery on the East Side. They’ve done a great job with the indoor-outdoor feel that never has a shortage of tables, which is surprising since the beer selection is amazing and ever revolving and the food from the local food trucks is convenient and delicious. They also host frequent community events that are worth checking out.

2) Blue Owl Brewing

If you love sour beer, you’ll love Blue Owl Brewing, especially hanging out in the Texas sun. This dog-friendly microbrewery specializes in sour beers and gives you the glasses to take home as well. It can get busy at times and parking can be iffy, but this quaint speciality microbrewery is a must-see.

Hops and Grain gives one of our favorite brewery tours in all of Austin. That’s a good enough reason for it to make this list. But on top of that, the atmosphere is amazing– happening but intimate enough for groups to hang out and bond over a board game or two. The space is large with ample amount of communal tables and decorated with fun artwork on the walls. The beer selection is wide enough to accommodate for all taste buds.

512 Brewing Company is a no-frills brewery located inside of a large warehouse. They offer very competitive prices, a casual tour and a delicious rotating option of beers. They have seating indoors and outdoors, and are dog-friendly on their patio. It’s definitely all about the beer here.
